Authentic Bedouin Desert Experiences in El Gouna & Hurghada. Jeep safaris, Sunset hikes, climbing, stargazing, yoga, Bedouin dinners and raw desert exploration in the Red Sea mountains of Egypt.
"Wadi Melaha (Meliha)"Oasis.
Explore a Hidden Desert Oasis
near the Red Sea El Gouna & Hurghada:
About 55 km northwest of El Gouna lies this magical oasis hidden between
the mountains and desert plains of the Red Sea.
A paradise for nature lovers, especially during the bird migration seasons.
Egypt plays a crucial role in global bird migration because of its unique position connecting Europe, Asia, and Africa. Wadis like Melaha, where water, greenery,
shelter, and rising thermal winds come together become essential resting points
for thousands of migrating birds.
And where the flocks gather, predators follow.
Birds of prey circle above, hunting the weak and exhausted after their long
journey across continents.
At times, the experience feels less like a hike…
and more like a live National Geographic documentary
presented by Indiana Jones.

It's hard to imagine now, but the Sahara was not always a desert.
Prehistoric rock art discovered across the Sahara shows elephants, giraffes,
rhinoceroses, crocodiles, and even hippopotamuses. Animals that could
never survive in today's hyper-arid environment.
Just 7,000 years ago, much of the Sahara was a green world of rivers, lakes, grasslands, and scattered forests filled with wildlife and early human communities.
Scientists now know these “Green Sahara” periods happen in long natural cycles, driven by subtle shifts in Earth's orbit and tilt. These changes affect the strength of the African monsoon, pushing rainfall far north into what is now desert.
The result: The largest desert on Earth transformed into a vast savannah.
Over the past eight million years, researchers believe the Sahara has gone
through more than 230 of these greening phases.
A reminder that landscapes are never as permanent as they seem.
